Crap service from Jobsworth at Sainsburys Customer Service

Did weekly shop at Sainsburys and bought 2 packs of Organic Sausages. When I got home I noticed that one pack was FOUR days passed it sell-by date!!!! Two days later I returned it to the store and was asked by sour-faced assistant if I wanted to go and get a replacement (no apology or offer to get this for me!!!). Once I had replacement she swapped over the packs, I said to her do I get any compensation for making a separate and unnecessary trip and she said "most people are happy just to have stuff swapped or a refund" but then grudgingly gave me £3 in gift vouchers, but still no apology! And they wonder why Sainsburys are not doing well. Grrrr

don't get me started on sainsburys! I stopped shopping online with them when they refused to credit my account after they had charged £40 for something I shouldn't have been charged for. I got it back eventually but their attitude stinks. Their customer services were soo rude!

It wouldn't even occur to me to ask for some sort of compensation, but good on you for giving it a go.

By contrast, in ASDA I was charged twice for something. I always scan my bill on the way out as this happens from time to time and so I went to customer services who apologised profusely and gave me £3 credit voucher for any inconvenience caused.

Tesco were unbelivalby rude to me at customer service yesturday

would not belive me that i had ebeen over charged... silly woman went to check but didnt even look in its fridge came back and STILL told me i hadnt

well i had so i ended up getting the manger who told me WE were having communication probs .
No she was WRONG, i was riht, i HAD been over charged and she refused to refund me

also refused to give me my school vouchers but at least manger present made her give em to me

Today have written to store manger to complain about girl AND duty manager

at no point was i apologised to either!

Crap customer service but please don't use the term "jobsworth". I hate it!!!! I get called that but I am usually protecting your welfare at the time and ensuring everyones safety.

This happened to my dh with some burgers at Asda. As policy they gave him his money back and more burgers
