Phone the Police?

Hello, i wonder if you may be able to help? My son (13) was out with his friends when he found a bike. He asked what would happen if he brought the bike home. I replied that i would phone the police and tell them a missing bike had been found. So, he has brought the bike home quite happy for me to phone the police. so i think i will. What do you think? What will happen now ? Do you have the 08456 number? as i obviously do not want to ring 999.

Your local Yellow Pages or phone book should have a number for your nearest police station's direct line if that's any help?

YEs, look in Yellow Pages. there's no problem ringing the local station to tell them you have it.

They will ask you to take it in.

We found a bike in the bushes near our house on Saturday and did the same. Phoned the local police who said they will send a car round for it, but probably not over the weekend.
