Old boyfriends - who would you love to see again?

Was just looking at the thread about finding old friends from school. That got me thinking about old boyfriends and which ones I'd really like to see again to see what they're like now.
Mine would be a guy called Nick, big love of my life, who turned into a ratfink when I went to college because he decided to declare undying love to my best friend!!!! I'd love to see what he looks like - still hear snippets of goss about him on the grapevine, but has he turned into a fat boring 40 year old( YESSS!!!)?

Mel, I actually heard from the first boy I ever had a crush on through Friends Reunited. He sent me a message - not surprising as we all got the same bus together and he could therefore remember my school easily. We last saw each other when I was 12 and he was 14, as his family moved house. It never came to anything but he was a really nice lad so it was great to hear from him again. It seems he and his wife live just down the road from us...
But the one I'd love to see again is the one who became a missionary (yes, really) after I chucked him. A less likely missionary you never saw. Billy Graham has a lot to answer for.

I met up with the only serious boyfriend I ever had before dh, whilst walking along the seafront in my home town. I had my two little girls in tow, who were, for once, clean and well-behaved (at that time aged 4 & 2) All I could think was, thank goodness I have just washed my hair and am made up. I don't always bother with stuff like that, but can you imagine if I'd bumped into him on a bad hair day with whinging kids!! I was surprised how much it mattered to me, that I didn't make a bad impression. First love never dies, they say...

I saw an ex boyfriend once on a train station and hid! I'd just returned to the UK for a holiday and was living in San Francisco at the time. Sounds glam but I was jet lagged, rain drenched and wearing a ski jacket (the warmest thing I owned at the time. Looks fine on the slopes but looks like an anorak when you're standing on a train platform!)......Why do I never bump into people when I'm dressed up for an evening out? I went to a school reunion a couple of years ago and I was heavily pregnant. At least this meant I looked like my flab had a purpose so it wasn't too bad. It was amazing how many of the boys I'd drooled over in school had turned in to fat, balding blobs...Yes! Ha!

I have had to move back to the area I spent all my teenage years and early 20's in and the one thing wrong with it is that I dread going out round the pubs (I make it my mission in life to avoid them as much as poss!) because of various ex boyfriends lingering around still - NONE of which I want to see again in my life! I think it's because of the way I was back then is so different from me now and I don't think I'd have anything to say to them, it might be really awkward. The fact that it is such a small area makes it ten times worse, my friends recently went out without me (thank the lord) because they saw 4 different ones - in one pub! (That makes me sound awful doesn't it - honestly that was the majority of them, not just a quarter or whatever!!)

I absolutely agree, Bloss - virtually all my ex boyfriends are a source of great embarrassment to me, and a great source of amusement to my mother, who never misses an opportunity to remind me of the vilest ones.
Unfortunately, one of them has recently e-mailed me having found my details on the Friends re-united site. I've has to tell Dh(who saw the e mail) that I have no idea who he is.

I got married in my early thirties so there are quite a few old flames out there. I actually keep in contact with a few of the men I dated in my twenties, I went out with some great guys but most of my relationships ended because of my itchy feet (I travelled for about six years moving on every six months or so) and the ones I didn't keep in contact with I chose to lose their addresses anyway. I have just moved back to where I grew up and wow is that an eyeopener, I look at my boyfriends from when I started dating at 18 and think man did I have monumentally bad taste back then. My dh is just perfect though so my taste has improved as I got older.

I feel like such a slut. I had two of my ex live in lovers at my wedding, plus the guy I was going out with when I met my husband and a major unrequited crush as well. I've always had relationships with men I've been friends with first, so it dosen't seem strange to keep seeing them afterwards. Dear husband copes well with the detrious of my past by announcing that they may have tried, but he was the one that managed to pin me down in the end. Bless.

Made me read this thread too! I don't think I'd better post anything on here though - my boyfriend sometimes reads what I've written!

Thought I'd resurrect this thread as I started it (under old nickname) and have actually seen the old ratfink first love. And the git looked EXACTLY the same!!!! How unfair is that? Glad I did see him though - had absolutely no desire to chat and catch up, barr the essential pleasantries and "How many kids have you got?" type of information.
Anyone else seen bumped into their old flames recently?

I'm meeting up this Friday with someone I had a relationship with at school, together with my best friend from 6th form and her ex-boyfriend of the time. Should be an interesting evening (we're all now 37). Last time I saw him (about 10 years ago) he was about to get married and told me he was lining up people to have affairs with aferwards. Let's hope he's changed!

The one I'd really like to meet again was a guy I went out with many years ago, for about 3 years, and it was the one break-up I've ever really regretted - I dumped him as he didn't fit in with my ideas of who I should be at the time, then immediately realised what an idiot I was being. I have tried to get in touch with him, but its clear he still doesn't want to talk to me. Its a shame, coz I think I could really achieve closure if we ever met up.
