Drayton Farm in Warwickshire experimental BSE farm

Had no idea that some farms in the Uk are/were being used as sites for research projects involving experimentally infected TSE animals (BSE - mad cows disease).
Due to the long incubation periods and on site farm bio-security, the animals were kept such that they had access to pasture for most of the year. infected animals were allowed to graze on pasture and pasture contamination from infected grazing animals contributes to the potential TSE risk of infection for the farm.
The experiments at Drayton have now ended and defra asked the veterinary laborratories agnecy to perform a quantative risk assessment on the residual risks associated with the land where infected animals grazed, or were subject to composted manure or the release of wastewater. this work is of wider interest than just Drayton farm as there are several farms in the UK where such experimentally infected animals were kept.

The research into these animals deaths due to BSE has now ended and DEFRA are apparently seeking advice how to decontaminate the area. One wonders how the people of Warwickshire who live & work near drayton farm feel about this on their doorstep? One would not want to live nearby as the dangers of TSE/BSE/vCJD are total with no current treatments or cures. One wonders how many babies & children live in the surrounding areas?
The people that live nearby Drayton Farm & the people of Warwickshire are mostly unaware of the lethal ticking health timebomb that is on their doorstep! They are also unaware that they are part of an 'experiment' with the use of composting waste from BSE infected animals to be used on fields that will grow food for their consumption.
Why is this research and findings not in the public domain?

Have you contacted John Pilger, who writes a great deal a about political/environmental issues?

Here he is.
