Feel very proud of myself - I did it!!!!

I drove down the town centre myself today (well with DD) and back up again and we're still alive!

May not seem a lot but a few weeks ago I could not have imagined doing it, although I have had my driving licence for 6 years I'm terrified of driving although I used to drive to work a few years ago (7 miles straight road there and back) I have had panic attacks in the car, nearly killed myself a few times and had hypotherapy and 2 sets of refresher lessons but to no avail. Now due to circumstances I need to drive so last week have been going out with DO every day and today I did it all by myself. My parking is still terrible though!!!

oh and the town centre is a new town centre ie we have only lived here 4 weeks and it's big and scary and full of roundabouts and one way systems!!!

my mum would only ever drive to places she knew the exact route to before (and planned out avoiding big roundabouts or nasty junctions)..then she had to make a trip from yorkshire to ours in london,after which she feels free to roam anyhere..hehehe!
I plan to learn in london this year..a bit scary tbh!
hope your new found confidence keeps up!..and judging by supermarket carparks no-one really knows how to park!
