Oops, I've arranged my Ocado delivery for a time when I won't be in!

Doh. Just realised. Booked a 5.30-6.30 slot today and I won't be home till 6.30/7. Too late to move it.

I know when I've been a little late before, they've phoned me and then come back after doing their other deliveries. Also all their deliveries have been late recently so maybe I'll be in when they reach me after all ...

Any point in contacting them now do you think?

Tried our next-door neighbour but he'll be out later. There's someone much further down the street that I could ask - maybe she could take the delivery - would they allow that? Or I could give her a key and she could let them in (though that would be a faff for her I think) ...

Do you have a secure area they could leave it in? If you authorise them to leave it I should think they will, as long as you've absolved them of any blame should it be nicked!

I don't, but it's only a couple of bags so they'd probably be ok behind the wheelie bin - I could even leave them a black bag to put them in if they were willing to ...

I guess you can only ask!
