Just thought I would start a thread for people to quote your favourite line/sketch from Ronnie Barker / The 2 Ronnies / Porridge / Open all hours etc...

Felt so sad about the news, think we should remember him for the very funny man he was....

My personal fave is the 4 candles / fork handles sketch (dont think I'll be alone!)

Love the 'news-item' joke about 'the world's messiest man died today, his body was found lying in a state' what a fabulous talent he was.

I liked the pismronounciation sketch and the Matermind "answering the question before last" sketch. Did he also write the "I look down on him" sketch for The Frost Report as well?

I liked the creepy teepee joke

Am very he's gone - too young for a talent like his.

I really liked the Porridge one where he was imgining MacKay and giving orders to his wife when having sex. "Stand by your bed. Ready, wait for it, wait for it. Knickers down, two, three".

Can't quote any specifically, but I just loved all those funny word play monologues he did on The Two Ronnies. The pispronounciation one being one.

I really liked all of the Porridge one's, would be really hard to pick one.
Pure genius

Ooh I liked the one in the restaurant too, where they were speaking in letters - F U N E X? etc....

Loads, but for some reason the man who had to say every syllable twice came into my head - it ended in Chip Chip Ping Ping Sod Sod Bury Bury. And the Cinema commissionaire who used film star's names to tell stories - "The other Doris Day I saw Christopher Walken along Sidney Greenstreet"

Could think of lots but the first one which springs to mind for me is from Open All Hours

"How do you spell p-p-p-p-pepper Granville? 6 p's or 7?"

What a man - he'll be missed

Just thought of another one...in the tin of pineapple chunks Porridge when the tin goes missing and he comes down the stairs into the mess and says to the assembled scrotes, "There is a thief among us"

On leaving prison,

'I'd like to take two things as a souvenir from here.'

'What?'

'I'll give you a clue. They both belong to Mr McKay.'

"There is a thief among us"

I laughed until I cried at that one.

I also loved the episode where they were stuck in the higlands of Scotland at New Year.
