I've got some stuff to sell, but am worried about putting my e-mail address on the notice board. Has anyone done it? Did you sell, did you get loads of spam e-mails as a result? Thanks

I haven't, but have used another site to buy and sell, and have opened a hotmail account purely for that reason. It does reduce the amount of spam arriving, but you do have to remember to check it regularly. BTW, its free.

I have used it and didn't get any spam so would use it again.

If you write your email out as, say 'Paula at Hotmail Dot Com,' the software that crawls the web looking for email addresses for spammers can't recognise it. I am plagued with spam after posting my email on the net. I have been offered so many penis enlargements and Russian brides it's not true.

I used the notice board. I got no responses, unfortunately, but I'm happy to say I got no spam either.

Thanks everyone, I'll give it a go.

Hi Everyone

I am new to mumsnet but am really enjoying the experience so far.

I am promoting the Smartid Stick in the UK (developed in America by Guard a Kid) and it would be great if you could have a look at my new web site - www.vamgoprepare.vpweb.co.uk I am open to any feedback re the site and would welcome any orders!!

It is a secure usb stick to store all your vital information on that you might need in an emergency - easy as filling out a form and great for peace of mind!! You simply carry it on your keyring.

This is a must if you are travelling with children this year.

As I say any constructive criticism - or otherwise welcome.

Vanessa
