Need some help with inlaws. My hubby is an only child and we live near my inlaws but not near my family or friends. My stepmotherinlaw was wonderful when I was pregnant and as it was a first child for my father in law(she has a 5yr old grandson) he was really excited. However we organised a christening with only close family to attend.(As I have a huge family, one brother but loads aunts and uncles who we are close to and keep in touch with). However SMIL has a cousin who is "like a brother to her" and because we werent asking them they seem to have taken a huff. They helped my hubby with the garden but dont make any effort to see their granchild. They are both off work at weekends but we never see them or they never offer any help. they have been invited for dinner twice but we have had no return invite! Am I being too touchy?
