if dh admitted shagging his step sister, this was the night before his dad's funeral and I was upstairs asleep after loads of booze, they were pissed too. I am shocked but not too upset

He told you now - because he wanted to give you bad news - why did he want to give you bad news - did he want to upset you?

You are not upset about him sleeping with another woman - why don't you care?

Would you have prefered he didn't tell you?

Just seems so odd, well, sad really. from what I can gather from your posts - and I may be misunderstanding totally - He wanted to hurt you and you don't care that he stuck his dick into another woman, only that he told you.

I feel really sad for you both.
