I want to return to work but don't know how to begin

I am a fairly regular poster but have changed my name for this because I don't want my mum see this (she doesn't want me to work yet)

My background is that I am 25 - I had my children quite young. I have a good degree from a red brick university and three A levels. Would it be mad of me to consider a graduate training scheme? (most of them seem to accept people who have graduated within 5 years). I am aware that at 25 I don't have much time to find a career for myself and I don't want to get stuck in a rut doing a cr@ppy job for the rest of my life.

Has anyone else been in this situation? Please feel free to give me any advice. TIA

Not been in your situation, but sounds like it would be a good plan to investigate graduate training schemes.

You have maturity on your side - having children makes you grow up! How old are they? What's childcare like around you?

They are 4 and 2. I have good family support which I think will help. I'm just thinking that if I leave it too much longer i won't have many options. Do you think having children can go against you?

Possibly, but it can also go for you - just think, you juggle the demands of two young children and you can do the job.
