I only want 5 bloody minutes!!!!

Give him a fiver and send him to the pictures.

dinosaur · 29/09/2005 16:35

Give him his older brothers' toys to play with - y'know, the ones they'll go ballistic over when they see he's got them.

I think it's what they call short term solution, though

Gobbledigook · 29/09/2005 16:35

PMSL!! I wish!

I've given him a calculator - I thought babies loved things like that but he's just thrown it down the stairs!

Dropinthe · 29/09/2005 16:39

Chocolate/sweets/coke?-works for me every time!

dinosaur · 29/09/2005 16:39

Oh, bolleaux.

Phone? He can run up some hefty bills, then. Or get the fire brigade turning up at your door.

Kelly1978 · 29/09/2005 16:41

televison

hunkermunker · 29/09/2005 16:43

He's never 13mo already, GDG! OMG!

NotActuallyAMum · 29/09/2005 16:49

LOL at the question

I might feel a bit down sometimes cos I haven't got any children of my own but at least I don't have to worry about things like this.....

dinosaur · 29/09/2005 16:50
Sad
Trampy · 29/09/2005 16:51

Lock him in the cupboard

Trampy · 29/09/2005 16:52

Actually wait til he's gone to bed. Is the right answer.

weesaidie · 29/09/2005 17:00

I find it really hard if dd is awake (18 months) that I usually don't bother.

If I do though I have a wee rocking horse (she can't get out of) and she'll happily go on that for 5/10 minutes.

Can really only manage that long as she justs loves mummy's laptop!

KiwiKate · 29/09/2005 17:05

Agree with trampy. Time with them is too precious while they are awake.

HuggyBear · 29/09/2005 17:43

cbeebies

WewaldWiwaffe · 29/09/2005 17:45

open a cbeebies website page and keep switching over, or have them both visible.

Gobbledigook · 29/09/2005 19:27

Hee hee!! I was only joking!! I'm not usually on here when the boys are awake!

I have to sneak into our front room (I can see her through 2 open doors playing) but as soon as my 20mo dd hears the puter turning on she runs through shouting 'E I Os mummy' (Old MacDonald on Cbeebies). That could be why I'm never on MN any more
