Does anyone live near Larkhill, Wiltshire?

Hi, I am moving near Larkhill, wiltshire in a few months and won't know anyone. So I am looking for any mumsnetters who live in and around this area to tell me all about it really.

What do you want to know? I live reasonably near by.

well just, is the area nice? what is there to do with children (DS 5, DD 3)?

are people generally friendly? obviously I am looking to make friends as i don't know anyone there.

Is there any areas to avoid?

It's got a big military community, seems nice and safe, kids play out in street. Stonehenge right nearby, good for walks and cycle rides.

Disclaimer: I don't live there but I have spent time there. It seems quite remote for shops and things but Salisbury is not far
