DHL have complained about the location of the flats!!!!! What are they worried about?? Their staff not have a nice view or the tenants keeping their staff awake!!??? The HA said it could be january or febuary that we are moved now

lol @ the reason but at the delay...

sparklymieow · 26/09/2005 12:28

and its just the flats that they are complaining about, not the houses

OP posts:
purpleturtle · 26/09/2005 12:30

and for you

nutcracker · 26/09/2005 12:30

WTF

NomDePlume · 26/09/2005 12:31

so why can't they release the houses and sort the flat problem out seperately ?

sparklymieow · 26/09/2005 12:31

Building work will continue though and hopefully the houses will be released in dec. but the HA have to make sure the houses are up to their standards so that will delay it even more

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 26/09/2005 12:32

Because they will only sign off the whole phase.

NomDePlume · 26/09/2005 12:32

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, so frustrating for you.

sparklymieow · 26/09/2005 12:33

I know, am and

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 26/09/2005 12:59

I just want to know why they didn't complain about it before the building started, after all they would have been imformed that flats and houses were going up behind them

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 26/09/2005 13:10

You can't complain once Planning permission has been approved...unless they have been built too high, too close etc compared with approved plans?

NomDePlume · 26/09/2005 13:12

I was going to say that they won't have any grounds to have their objections upheld if PP has already been granted, unless they are in breach of the approved planning parameters

LIZS · 26/09/2005 13:27

They can appeal against pp being granted but I thought there was a fixed time afterwards to lodge it. If building has been underway for some time it seems odd of the council to entertain it now, unless there has been an amendment tot he original agreed plans put through. If you go into the council's website they may have an online planning system which enables you to see the status of Planning Applications, both pending and actioned. on your behalf.

zippitippitoes · 26/09/2005 13:31

Only the person who applied for planning Permission can appeal against the decision not objectors

spursmum · 26/09/2005 14:14

Just thought that I'd mention that building work is still going on. I've already hassled the builders this morning!

sparklymieow · 26/09/2005 15:41

what did the builders say spursmum???? did they get annoyed with you??

OP posts:
spursmum · 26/09/2005 15:45

They were alright with me, just said that someone had moaned about where they were but they were still building as they hadn't been told any different.

sparklymieow · 26/09/2005 15:48

It was DHL!!! Bloodly companies!!!

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 26/09/2005 15:51

The flats were started in Febuary!!! Seems a long time for someone to turn round and say 'oh they are too close to us' and then they delay everything!!

OP posts:
spursmum · 26/09/2005 15:56

Yet there is a big yellow sign on the warehouse saying that it is an all night depot and there will be noise and traffic!!!
Exactly will the flats affect them I'd like to know!!

sparklymieow · 26/09/2005 16:03

PMSL!! Seems like DHL want some money and can see this as making a quick buck!!

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 26/09/2005 16:04

BTW that building with the big yellow sign backs onto my garden.... lovely view

OP posts:
spursmum · 26/09/2005 16:06

PMSL can't miss your house then!!! What are they complaining about?! It's unlikely to be students as they are on the other side and flats are most likely to be handed over to HA for affordable housing.

misdee · 26/09/2005 16:13

Peter says its because they are worried the people on the top floor will be able to see how DHL handle the packages. oooo-er.

spursmum · 26/09/2005 16:14

LOL@peter. Very true!!
