boring cleaning question - limescale, showers, blah blah blah

Because we have had builders in for about a year, our shower room hasn't been cleaned very often . I have just tried to clean it with Jif but its got some really hardcore patches of limescale that dont want to come off.

any miracle tips? I'm sure Aggie and the other one do something amazing with manky showers.

vinegar/neat lemon juice and borax. The acid in the vinegar/lemon bites into the limescale and breaks it down and the borax acts as a gentle abrasive to shift stubborn bits.

do you just mix borax (where from?) with vinegar to make a paste?

borax is a normal household thing, quite an old fashioned cleaning stuff. Looks like white powder, kind of like Vim or whatever it's called. I should think you can buy it from pretty much anywhere. I think kim and aggie recommend you mix a paste. It might be better to use lemon juice, just because it smells better !

or just soak cotton wool in vinigar and purt in on the limescale for hours...

at leas most of it shoul;d come off

(i cant remember if the covered the cotton wool with cling film to keep it saturated OR NOT!)

Double check that it's ok to use when you're pregnant, please. I seem to remember K&A saying that it was non-toxic, but do double check.
