I'm having a lovely day at home with DS today!

Poor little DS is running a high temperature - something brewing but not too ill yet.

Kept him off school today and I've stayed at home from work to look after him.

We so rarely get time with just the two of us anymore- DD is almost always around as well.

It has been so nice to sit and chat with him, build some lego and knex and just chill out together

He's dozing on the sofa next to me now, and I'm getting all teary looking at him - he really is such a special little boy and I love him dearly

Aahhh, that's really sweet

Nice to read something positive - hope you've had a lovely day and I hope you have many more

And last but not least, I really hope he gets better soon

I love these rare days too Soapbox. And I'm feeling a bit too so long as he isn't too poorly!

I know softie that I am!

As I was posting this I thought of Droile and her DS who's having a pretty major op today. I think that's what made me count my blessings - they are so vulnerable our littlies and our not so littlies

Do you know, exactly the same thought popped into my mind, Soapbox. I have been thinking of them all today, and you're right. Sitting with someone whose only problem right now is being a bit sweaty and demanding Ribena does bring it all home rather.
