Ideas please to thwart a treaty thief at school!

Some little gimp has been rifling my ds and classmates lunchboxes and nicking all the goodies! Poor wee thing hates school and the lunchtime treat in his bag is the one thing that keeps him going!
I'm thinking of creating a special surprise for the miserable miscreant - par-boiled sprout coated in chocolate to look like a truffle perhaps! Anyone got any better (and less fiddly ) ideas please? Go on, let yer imagination run riot!

i like the sprout idea myself!

how does s/he do it without being caught?

Rowlers · 15/09/2005 18:58

Put a fake dog poo in the lunch box.

Carmenere · 15/09/2005 19:04

Why not simply place a nice big bloody cows heart in the lunch box (obviously packaging your ds's lunch in another one) .

Actually this was an idea i had when some little sh1t was forcing bits of meat into my (vegetarian)dss's mouth at lunch times. My dss is 16 though and well able to stand up for himself. I thought he should plant a cows heart in the creeps bag but instead he just cut the handles off. I don't really condone that but I did think the meat thing was a particularly nasty type of bullying

janeybops · 15/09/2005 19:15

why not tell the staff so they can sort it out?

mrsmoons · 15/09/2005 19:26

er, he did tell the teacher but she is rather ineffective! It's only happened for a couple of days and the teacher thinks the perp must sneak in at break or while nipping to the loo. Probably it won't take long to catch him. But I'm peed off enough (and childish enough!) to want to tackle it myself and teach him a lesson. Especially as I had had an attack of Good-motherdom for once and actually baked some home made cake for him. (Mind you, can't believe my baking wasn't deterrent enough
Carmenere, I can't believe the meat thing - that's really dreadful. But what did he cut the handles off?

Cod, you have a more intellectual mind than me, hadn't thought of that when I wrote the title

Oh he cut the handles off the culprits school bag - there were no reprecussions so I reckon the little bully probably realised that snitching wasn't an option

Bake some cookies and put rabbit droppings in them so that they look like chocolate chips

Boiled sprout is probably kinder. Stuffed with scotch bonnet chillies and coated thickly with chocolate. Should be easy enough to guess who the culprit is - he probably won't be able to cope with a mouthful of chilli.

Or - I have fab recipe for chocolate and chilli cookies - just up the chilli content massively.

sparlover · 15/09/2005 21:38

yeah chilli cookies would be hilarious!

Tanzie · 15/09/2005 21:41

Actually, you could just add chilli to any chocolate cookie recipe. But make sure it's a lot.

sparlover · 15/09/2005 21:41

is there any way you could do something with bright blue food colouring?

Tanzie · 15/09/2005 21:42

Go for the chilli. The little sod will have a red hot arse the next morning as well, so will be punished twice.

Skribble · 15/09/2005 22:37

You get farting, make your mouth blue and salty sweets from joke shop or just get diabetic ones which have a laxative effect, or come to that laxative chocolate.

soapbox · 15/09/2005 22:41

The chilli idea is especially good as there is a strong chance he'd give away who he is, when hopping round the playground with a burning mouth.

I'd be quite tempted to make a chocolate truffle, laced with tabasco to make it super hot!

Mean little b*gger!

colditz · 15/09/2005 22:43

We had a child at my school who used to steal out of lunchboxes. It turned out his mother was an alcoholic who didn't bother to feed him. He's in jail now, poor sod, it never was going to go any other way for him. He never had a bloody chance. He's better off in jail, he gets looked after there.

So the teacher should be trying to catch the culprit because it might be a genuinely hungry child!

mrsmoons · 16/09/2005 18:36

Colditz, that is a very good point. But I do feel if a child was genuinely hungry they might steal the sandwiches, fruit, crisps sausages rolls etc, not just people's cake or biscuits. My other theory is there is a child out there with a seriously strict parent when it comes to sugar! :}
