Crikey! Someone must have bought the Pedlars £625 spanner!

the famous £625 spanner is no longer on the Pedlars site. Logged on last night for a chortle to realise that some loon with less sense than money must have exchanged money for the privilege of owning it - what do you think they've done with it?

Cripes - more money than sense! I regularly fantasy shop on Pedlars, as well as Not on the High Street and White Company, £1800 on the last count. They all hate me I bet.

Praps it's going to be the new Olympic symbol? The others didn't get great press.

Or, just maybe, they realised it was garnering so much negative publicity that it might be worth pulling it themselves?

I couldn't see the spanner (was it made of gold and precious stones?). I did some stuff that I rather liked on the site though.

I agree with Treacle - I think they realised that people from mumsnet were coming onto the site at monthly intervals to point and laugh!

Some of the other more ridiculous items have also been removed, as well as the poster that India Knight linked to on her blog pointing out that you could get for half the price elsewhere.

Thanks for that. Very disappointing picture. Perhaps it magically changes into a mechanic equipped to deal with all problems at the polish of a handle.
