If you don't smoke in your car can you or others still smell smoke in it?

If you do smoke in your car but do it with the windows open can you or others still smell smoke in it say the next day before you smoke in it again?

If you smoke outside your house or inside your house but out of the window can you or others still smell smoke inside your house?

Yes, yes and yes to all three. The smoke stays on your clothes (ex-smoker here who used to think that no one knew when I had smoked because I had the windows and doors open).

Did you not smoke in the car at all or with the windows open?

Did you smoke in the garden or inside with the doors and windows open?

I don't smoke in the car but DH sometimes does and I can always smell smoke in it if I go out in it the following day.

We smoke outside the house because we live in a country where the weather allows us to and I can't stand the smell of smoke on furniture or in enclosed rooms anyway. However, the back door is always open and sometimes (depending on wind direction) if you go upstairs you can smell smoke.

SuperSoph Does he smoke in the car with the windows open or not?

Not sure TBH. I do smoke in the car, the window position depends on the time of year and whether it is raining.
I do smoke outside the house and don't think the smell comes in. Can't be sure though.
