Tell me about Bristol airport......

I have to pick someone up from there in a few weeks time and I don't know what it's like. At Birmingham security will no longer allow people to drive to the entrance and pick people up. And the car parking is £5 for every 15 minutes!

How accessible is it? TIA

There is a pick up car park where you get 10 or 20 minutes for free. Be careful though cos then it gets really expensive really quickly if you exceed that. You are not meant to return to the free bit within a certain amount of time but I suspect that many people drive in, check the arrivals board and, if the flight is delayed, leave and return at the predicted arrival time.

There are also longer stay car parks that are much cheaper.

Yes it's tiny. As you drive in from the main road the airport is on your left, with the short stay/free for a bit carpark after the building. The long stay carparks are on your right.

It's so small that I would suggest just going into the longer stay carparks, it's a very short walk.

We like Bristol airport.
