I am beginning to really dislike the place - my ds goes to nursery there (we live in Willesden) because my friend was happy with it and I like the people who run it a lot. Very down to earth and loving. I don't think the people on the street outside, especially in cars, are very down to earth and loving though! This morning two incidents with very arrogant rude men in cars getting annoyed with me over nothing. I don't react because I don't want to start a catfight in front of the kids and anyway what's the point? The only people who are polite on the roads are the working people in vans etc... Is it money that makes people so unfriendly, uncaring and rude??? If so I am glad we don't have much of the stuff. Came back to Willesden (which I normally slag off a bit because the high street is a mess) with a sigh of relief, don't feel as if I am going to be got at on the road every second minute. One of the men still playing on my mind - should have had a cutting retort for him but can't really think of one - any ideas???
Basically he glared at me really rudely over apparently leaving not enough space for his swanky sports car, tried to move and got too close and he hooted really loudly... Just the look on his face was totally dead and spoilt looking. Then annoyed another man because apparently I should have stopped for him to get out of his parking space (the road was at a gridlock) even though I had not even seen he wanted to come out (was not indicating)..grrr...
