how many potatoes do you get in your organic veg box?

we started using abel and cole and i was ordering a small mixed box. we have decided this isn't enough so this week got a regular mixed box.

but, they only ever send 6 potaAnytoes! this week 2 of them are about the size of a small plum! does this seem a bit odd? we have potatoes with most meals so 6 really doesn't go very far... but it seems that even if you order a bigger box you don't get any more potatoes... you jsut get extra items

do other organic box schemes provide more? i am loathe to add on more potatoes as the box already costs £13.80...

Ah, we have the same box as you - and no, you don't get that many potatoes do you? I haven't actually counted them though.

we get 6 every time! wouldn't mind so much if they were decent size ones

have thought about getting an organic veg box, is it just veg or can you get fruit and veg? also I thought you could specify which veg you preferred to a certain point?

6 potatoes, DP would eat them in one meal!

abel & cole do a variety of fruit/veg/fruit and veg boxes, sweetkitty

starlover · 07/09/2005 16:21

sweetkitty... we get a mixed box, which is fruit and veg.

trefusis.. i try and do that too! also keep a supply of rice pasta etc... i guess we are just potato-ey people!

dunno, i just figured that most people probably get a box weekly, and you would think they would put enough stuff in to last a week iyswim... i would rather have more potatoes and less spinach! lol

hmm you can add a 2kg bag of pots for £3.30... that seems quite expensive.
actually, i have no idea how much potatoes cost anyway... but it's a lot on top of the box itsself
