Saw psychiatrist at 1.30. Lovely man - good chat, good laugh. Puts me down for an assertiveness course. Asks me where I think I should do for the next year. Baffled silence, 'till I say 'an affair'. He said - and get this - some sex and a good hug would'nt hurt. And I haven't been drinking.
Told H about appt with Ps this morning. Told me he would take dds to the local fair, but that he'd have to be at work shortly thereafter. Explained that I'd already agreed to take dds to fair, but wasn't sure I'd be back in time to pick them up from school. Humph, hand on hips, why couldn't you have told me before etc etc.
Arrived home simultaneously, asked H what time he might be back in case dds were tired and couldn't make the walk. He said 6.30.
We tried. He said he tried (and I know he did, cos it's in my missed messages box), but insists he said call him from work, about 20 miles away.
FFS, if he was going to be 20 miles away when we 'phoned, I'd have told him to forget it.
Ended up in a huge barney with my 7 year old on my side saying 'Yes, he did say he'd be home then, mummy'.
Effingest day for a long time.
