I really really hate the name Karen (and it's mine )

There were 5 of us in my class at school and so you were always referred to by your surname as well.

Apart from that it was Alison and Jane for the girls, Paul, David and Mark for the boys

It made me determined that my children wouldn't suffer the same fate. It wasn't until dd was in the last year that someone else with her name came to the school, ds1 was the only one in the school for a while, and ds2 was the only one of his generation that I knew until I met Gobbledigook!!

Catherine, Nicola (hundreds of both), Sarah (ditto), Karen, Julie, Melanie, Caroline, Fiona, Amanda.

Far too posh an area for Sharons and Traceys, Darlink.

Seems that every other woman I meet at the moment is called Alison/Allison/Alyson.

DD's age group seems to be filled with Isabelles and Isabellas.

Half of my school turned around when someone shouted my name..... and my partners name is the same as my brothers name and there is 2 weeks age difference between them.

Consequently, we made sure the same would never happen to our son
