I don't mind having a headache but I do not want to get ill!
What's the best way to avoid illness!!??
I haven't drank for over a year.
I really want to give it a go tonight!
I always have been ill the next day and bedridden

one soft drink after two alcoholic ones.
lots of carbs prior to drinking
1pint of water and an asperin before bed

Start slow! Why do you need to drink so much that it will give you a hangover?

parker1313 · 18/09/2010 18:02

Sadly so I am guaranteed a good night as I lack confidence but let's not get into those issues Blush

you should buy some diaoralyte or other ehydration sachets, brilliant hangover cure!!

Don't mix your drinks - try and have a long drink - either a spritzer or something with tonic but add lots of tonic so you're not drinking too much.

Lots of water while you're drinking and eat something - nibbles will help soak it up.

Lots of water before bed and a bottle by side of bed to sip through the night.

Take a vit tablet before you go out and have one in the morning too.

In his 20s DH used to swear by a fry up for brek - now he has muesli and yogurt - he's obviously growing up; my friend has crisps and flat sugary drink for breakfast and is never hungover

drink vodka and tonics. Avoid wine.

Gigantaur · 18/09/2010 18:10

the clearer the drink the better. anything with a colour is always bad news so red wine is a big no no.
