Sorry to be such a dullard but I've managed to get about 5 little splotches of white gloss paint on my favourite trousers of all time which are cotton canvas. Can I get it out or shall I give them up? I tried giving it a gentle rub with white spirit but no joy ...

colour the paint the same colour as the trousers?

A hot soapy wash does wonders (softens the paint I think). then try and scrape it off without damaging the fabric too much. I got loads of paint on my clothes when I was an art student, mostly they were never the same again Im afraid to say.

razors.....try attempting to scrape (dry) paint off with a razor blade, you have to be very gentle or you go right thro.......but it can work.

Ok, hot soapy wash, builder's wipes, and razors.

thanks everyone!
