LOL

Provisional is £40 my dad is getting me mine for xmas.

You need to get a form from the post office, not sure which one though.

Good luck

. How do I apply for my first provisional moped/ motorbike/ car driving licence?

If you have never held a driving licence before you will need to apply for a provisional licence. You must complete driving licence application form D1 (previously D750), available from most Post Office® branches, and send it with the appropriate fee, original documentation confirming your identity, (for a complete list of acceptable identity documents please click here), and a passport sized colour photograph taken against a plain light background, (for photograph criteria click here), to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AD or you may be able to use the Post Office® Checking Service.

  1. How long does it take to issue a driving licence? We aim to deliver your driving licence to you within 15 working days (includes outward posting) of receiving your valid application at DVLA. However, cases that require medical investigation, where we may have to contact your doctor will take longer. We aim to complete our enquiries as quickly as possible. The time we take to deal with your particular case will depend on the medical condition you have and the information we have to gather.

If we can make a decision based on the information you originally provided, we aim to make a decision on 97.5% of cases within 15 working days.
If we need more information about your medical condition, either from you, your doctor, or from other sources, or if you are applying for a lorry or bus licence, we aim to make a decision on 80% of cases within 90 working days.
If our enquiries take longer than the target times set out above, we will write to explain what is happening.

  1. What is the cost of a driving licence and how do I pay?

Licence Type Fee
First provisional

Car, Motorcycle, Moped
£38.00

Sorry for the dodgy line up, it's a rubbish cut and paste job !

cadbury · 05/09/2005 15:19

It's £38 pounds. You can get a form (D1) from the post office. Thats as far as I have got with the whole shebang. I'd love it if my mum bought me some driving lessons.
