Would you tell a neighbour you could see her in the shower?

Last night I heard dh laughing in the bathroom and he called me in to look across the road- girl there in their bathroom with the lights on and clearly naked in the shower. I didn't hang around too long but we could see absolutely everything.
The previous owner told me that she could see me so we invested in a darker blind but I was mortified when she said so I don't know if I should say anything.
We don't know her at all, only say hello sometimes so i don't want to make her feel awkward but what if it was somebody else who watched her? Or should I drop a note through the letterbox under cover of darkness?

Oh yes, I would definitely have a quiet word in her ear.... but laugh about it and acknowledge that you realise it must be really embarrassing for her to hear this from you

Fio2, knowing some of the people in my street I wouldn't be surprised if that's already happening!! Actually, I'm quite envious- tall and blonde and no baby belly on her (all of which can be seen WITH her clothes on!

If you are embarassed I would put a note through her door - If I were her I would definetely appreciate it!

Could you not say that you saw her in the bathroom when she was cleaning it or something and thought you should mention it to her before someone saw her having a shower or something?

If you can see her then others can, too - it's only fair to let her know. Drop a note through the letterbox if you don't think you can face her any other way but do tell her.

I was in a hall somewhere once and an attractive teenage girl walked in, accompanied by a boy. Neither of them had noticed that the girl's skirt was rucked up at the back, completely showing her knickers.

As she walked all the way down the hall, no-one told her. Unfortunately I was towards the far end of the row, so couldn't tell her without shouting it.

She got to the front of the hall, realised and was obviously mortified.

Please tell her - at least it gives her the choice of showing her body or not.

for gods sake tell her I would just DIE if it were me (I hope its not me!) Leave a note if needs be, but you HAVE to let her know.

Now I have to go and get realy thick curtains, just in case it IS me!!!

Oh tell her. It's not like you're confessing you saw her murder someone and it could save her no end of embarrassment. If you can't face telling her to her face, then put a note through her door.

The entire street could be perving over her without her knowing ... I wouldn't like to think someone knew that I could be seen and hadn't bothered to tell me.

OK, you've confirmed what I suspected I should probably do. They've lived there for a year and I've never seen her before so perhaps they've taken a blind down or something.
Think I will wuss out and put a note through as it would spare her blushes as well as my own when she sees me agian .
TY for giving me a shake and realising the right thing to do!

It is possible she already knows...

Where I used to live the couple at the back used to quite blatantly wander around naked with the curtains open and the lights on - and sometimes walking around wasn't all they did, iykwim. Some people do have an exhibitionist streak (no pun intended!)

You could mention that the previous owner of her house had to tell you the same thing. Might make her feel better!

if she is georgious you could say " you can see RIGHT THROUGH you bathroom window y'know. right to those stretch marks on your upper thigh at the back" shellbe trying to look at her arse for weeks

It's all in the way that you tell it - I got a new blind on my kitchen door a year or two ago (previously had nothing there) and in the confidence that you couldn't see anything through it (it's a venetian) I walked up to get the letter that our postie had just put through the letterbox in the nude (calling out "thanks"). A few days later the postie and I met in the street and he said something along the lines of "you look great, but did you know I could see you?". I was very embarrassed, but also quite flattered! It's not that I cared about his opinion, but it's always nice to get good feedback! He did it in an "uncle" sort of way IYKWIM. Still makes me smile!

We have frosted glass in bathroom and I never thought twice untill I saw neighbour clearly sit down on pan in nude. Same kind of windows .
I got a voile the next day, makes bathroom darker but hey i ain't no exibitionist.
We were at a work BBQ once at a bosses house, everyone was out back and could clearly see the new guy in the on-suite preening himself in mirror, it was frosted glass too. Be warned if you have your lights on in the evening its amazing what you can see, not that i look.
