Just wondered what it was like? May be moving there so thought I'd ask your opinion.

How old are your children janeybops? Secondary education is a problem round here. If you have children nearing that age I would highly recommend Dalton. But things can change a lot in a few years, so that's not really relevant if you've just got littlies.

they are 4 and 22 months so more concerned about primary at the moment.

My boys go to a fantastic primary (two 'excellents' from Ofsted, amazingly charismatic Head, etc.) but it is oversubscribed and you pretty much have to be in catchment to get in.

If/when you come to visit CAT me and I'll send you directions to come in to the town "the pretty way" LOL It's a bit shocking if you head in the main route past the industrial estates and the derelict areas. But it does look a lot better than it used to!

also try 'ross' and 'Hammett and Heyworth' estate agents.
Not much choice in Primary schools in Ulverston though. 1 catholic, 1 C of E infants, 1 infant/juniors linked , 1 infant school, 1 junior school spread quite widely.

So this will depend on what you want . Only one secondary school though.
Dalton, primarys and secondaries are all good (I think)
