hmm waterloo is not renowned for lovely hotels .. would you prefer to stay somewhere and tube across or would you prefer to actually be able to walk back to hotel

CountessDracula · 31/08/2005 18:08

How about the Savoy?
Seriously, there's a nice one in Covent Gdn, can't remember the name and a couple in Aldywch?

The Marriott at County Hall is walking distance and is nice, if a little too Corporate!

the covent garden hotel is fab, really cool, not budget and near all the theatres. very friendly people and a special different place. always my first choice. have a look at the website, sorry can't link, google it and find the address.

bosscat · 31/08/2005 21:21

just checked for you its www.firmdale.com

katierocket · 01/09/2005 08:15

thanks
think the Old Vic is not near the West End theatres but we could just get a cab/tube.

bosscat - Is the covent garden one noisy though?

we didn't have any problems with it at all. Its busy when you step outside but not in the hotel. the staff are super helpful I'm sure if you asked for a particularly quiet room they would accomodate you. We were due to go again in april but dh appendix burst, when I phoned to cancel they offered to help me offload my theatre tickets. they are really on the ball.
