.. and it says 'use as directed by the prescrber' .. but that note was on the prescpription, and you no longer have it, what's the best bet?

Ring the person who prescribed it, or ring the pharmacist and ask them to check what the prescription said.

Thanks, WWB. What an obvious solution

Hi,
I was recently prescribed diazepam and the instruction were to take them as and when I felt I needed them. Please be aware that this is a very addictive drug and can have instant effects. Check with your GP as to when he / she feels that you should take them.

It's not always so obvious when you're faced with the problem, though!

I would suspect it's a month's course, 1 tablet a day, but it would be wise to check.

I would agree with that WWB! I ended up going back to the doctor and getting something else as I got confused about whether I should take it every day or not....the effect the diazepam had on me was instant and not great.
Sometimes gp's dont really give a clear indication of what to do

OK, off to see what happens.
