Blimey, if I can do it anyone can! Is it still on your memory card? Is it a Kodak?

nutcracker · 31/08/2005 08:32

Nope it's uploaded onto the computer now.

You will need photo editing software that includes grayscale as an option - I think Photoshop does this. I have been looking at doing this as well and have discovered that my basic photo editing software doesn't do this - theimagingfactory.com does a convert to B&W programme but it appears to cost $99!

I use GIMP - free photo software and very very good - highly recommended in IT various magazines. Not sure where I got it, try a google search.

I can highly recommend using Google's freebie Picasa which you can download from here picasa.google.com/index.html . You can do all sorts of effects and its very easy to use. You can even send your photos directly to Photobox from there too.

no - nothing as complicated

cut and paste it onto a word document
then VIEW picture toolbar and change it to greyscale

Yeah, Picasa looks great - I've just managed to convert a photo to B&W!!

gingerbear · 31/08/2005 09:24

It is easy with iPhoto, the software pre-installed on my iMac......

However, Picasa is good on PCs.

Roobie · 31/08/2005 09:26

Actually, having done it on Picasa I subsequently found out how to do it on my original photo editing software!
