Oh no BB!! My TV is going fine again now - cost just under £80 to fix, but seems to have been worth it. Also just got my hoover back the other day and it was around £30 to service and fix - is working fine now and I don't have to brush the stairs manually! (not that I did, but my Mum did while she was here. She went back home today. Will be getting a new shower for top bathroom this month I think as dh hates having to go downstairs to shower in the mornings! I can live with it though, so will get put in it's place regarding priority (and I want a new car - not much really!!!).

Hattie, I did sell on Ebay but that was over a year ago. My nan became really ill and died last year so Ebay went completely out the window and some parcels were delayed.

Yes I have loads of stuff for sale I appologise that this offends everyone. It is my stupid pathetic way of making some money to buy clothes and stuff for my 4 children

People buy here from people they chat to on the site knowing that they are honest people. The more you put for sale, the worse you are making it as people don't know whether to trust you. And when freebie cameras come up for £12 its like a big fat kick in the teeth.

Yes I do occasionally sell on Ebay but I don't mind admitting that I can't afford the fees and I do post on for sale threads.

The camera wasn't a freebie, I had to spend a certain amount to get it and I thought it would be better then the one I have but it is the same almost.

The £12 would buy a pair of school shoes and if thats so bad then I am sorry

Hattie, people don't have to buy. And while I don't much like people using MN as a free ebay, I can't help feeling a bit uncomfortable that someone has gone trawling around on ebay for information like this to post here. Sorry, but it really makes me feel uncomfortable.

I do normally block buying and selling, but this has become a big point of discussion on other boards. Not trouble making, just think this is evidential that tighter rules need to be made.

find it hard to believe that someone whos not got much money has that many clothes to sell even with 4 kids. got 3 kids myself and not exactlly strapped for cash but i couldnt even offer half the stuff for sale that she is. just seems odd

anyhow i guess if thats what she wants to do she can do it as long as its not again st the ruls

What you believe is neither here or there, you said on the other thread you are new, so I presume you are jumping on the witchunt band wagon trying to join in!!

We're certainly not all nasty and vindictive magnolia, but maybe (wrongly) just a bit wary of buying from someone who never posts anywhere else! Think your post to Hattie it was a bit harsh tbh. Sorry. Why not post on some of the other threads - we're really an ok bunch - honestly. I know for sure that nasty posters are few and far between.

I'm sorry you lost your nan too - I'm going through a family crisis now, and I'm well aware that everything else (incl posting parcels) goes out the window.

Magnolia, i would not consider you to be posting just for the sake of selling. And i do urge you to join in the chat on this site, it would justify your selling in a good way and i wouldn't knock you for that. You probably don't feel like speaking to me right now, but hope to see you around on the boards.
There are many of us in difficult situations struggling to pay the next bills. This is where you can get the support. Just leave some of the not so bargain sale items for ebay .
