Mum wants to know what I want for my 40th. I am stumped. Any ideas?

I would quite like a tea pot and some china mugs but have quite specific taste and firm ideas (not just on pattern, but shape too Blush) that I think it might be best to leave that one...any other ideas? maybe something foody/housey? - we have lots of guests and people round for dinner but fancy dinnery bits and pieces feel like an extravagance so I don't really have any. any specific ideas? or otehr ideas entirely?

What about some sort of cooking experience day?

I will be watching this thread in anticipation of ideas for my thirty-tenth birthday. Grin

Culinary Concepts do some fancy dinner accessories, whilst not cheap are also not outrageously expensive either.

Otherwise how about something for you - like jewellery - earrings, bracelet, something you will remember being for your 40th?

My dad bought me a plum tree for my 40th - is in fruit now and it's nice to have something that will grow. I also had a few rose bushes..

Hi hatwoman,

Best wishes for your birthday- of course everyone is different but I would love to get a day at a spa, massage or facial or for pure extravagance both!

If you get on with your mum, why not go together so she can share your present with you?

Enjoy it, whatever you get or do!
