Mine (him with the amazing IQ and trained pilot!) set fire to the sleaves of his dressing gown when he was cooking breakfast one morning!

This was before I met him... but he decided to use a metal knife to dig out a bit of bread stuck in the toaster whilst it was still on!!

My dp once spent the WHOLEday taking the washing machine apart because it had conked out. I got home from work and simply asked - have you thought of changing the fuse?
He hadn't. I'm still a bit smug about that one.

Last year, he went out ang got v. drunk - drunk enough for someone to steal his credit card and spent almost £900 on it. He didn't even realise it was gone till the following afternoon!!!
He managed to get the money repaid quite quickly though, to be fair.

When my dh goes out, which is VERY rarely he gets ROTTEN drunk-he once rung me at at 8am to tell me he was on a boat on the Thames,(not legally,I hasten to add!) and had been drinking Brandy all night-I shit myself!!

tassis · 30/08/2005 17:40

mine has flushed his watch down the toilet and driven over his laptop...

dropinthe · 30/08/2005 17:40

Ah,yes-dived in the sea with his best designer glasses on-what fun we had!!

Dropped a cup of tea all over the baby.

We then had Health Visitors phoning and visiting.

While he was a senior manager at the hospital.

sunchowder · 30/08/2005 18:05

These are all so very good! I can't think of anything my DH has done that could match these....

Given his expensive designer glasses to his ex girlfriend at a party, then been surprised when she 'lost' them.

(This was the girl he told he never wanted to get married, then met me and got me PG and engaged within 3 months!)
