DH has booked two tickets for Hammersmith but his mates are unable to go. I have told him that as it is a sit down show I will go with him. Am only 5ft 1 so I'd get trampled otherwise . Anyone else going?

Not my thing, at all, but seeing bands like that live is bound to be great anyway.
You'll have a laugh.

moozoboozo · 28/08/2005 22:27

I used to love IM!!! I still listen now and then, and have many fond memories!!!!

raaawk baby!

don't forget your metal hand gesture (fist with first and little finger extended, punched in air to the sound of the maiden)!

moondog · 28/08/2005 22:51

How so?? Bruce now flies planes for Monarch doesn't he? He'll need to take compassionate leave.

(Psml at thought of TC even thinking about a maiden gig,in light of earlier comments about front hall decoration!)

Skribble · 28/08/2005 22:51

I went to one years ago, I'm short and don't like being in the middle of the crowd, this is when I discovered the sides at the front are great. You can see the stage, everyone crowds to the middle so you can actually move and your right in front of the speakers (not good for you hearing I suppose). Oh I can feel the base!!!!

SPARKLER1 · 29/08/2005 00:36

PMSL @ you lot!!

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm - no, but my brother will be insanely jealous (I still fail to see why even after all these years).

Aero · 29/08/2005 00:39

But you enjoy it Sparkler.

fairyfly · 29/08/2005 00:41

Personally i would rather have a poo mistake, in public, on a bus

enjoy though!

Aero · 29/08/2005 00:43

roflpmsl ff!! Personally though I think I'd rather suffer/endure an IM concert than that!! - Truly!

SPARKLER1 · 29/08/2005 11:53

What a fab night that was. Very entertaining. The songs I knew I was dancing along too and singing my head off. The songs I didn't were a bit of a bore. Bruce Dickinson has so much energy - running around the stage constantly for an hour and three quarters. We were seated up on the balcony but everyones bottoms never touched the seats from start to finish. The bloke next to me was a serious Iron Maiden freak and was head banging and playing air guitar/drums all the way through. I lost count as to how many times he nearly head butted me .
