I checked out Mothercare and Next today, but I wasn't really bowled over. I'd like something pretty / floral - perhaps a bit seventies

I'm going to have to pay through the nose for it, aren't I? Grin

I like Verbaudet but they are on the pricy side.

specialsmasher · 15/08/2010 19:39

ooh thanks so much - checking out now. As you both said it straight away it must be good!

Should add that Vertbaudet ones are 100% cotton which bumps the price up. Can't abide polycotton .

specialsmasher · 15/08/2010 19:50

I never thought a duvet might be anything other than cotton! Will have to check materials very carefully. They're very pretty - just browsing now.

Another vote for Dunelm - I'm currently paying through the nose for cotbed sizes and got a cute duvet cover for £16.99 and a pillow case for £2.99. Not bad considering John Lewis wantd me to pay £45 - eeek!

Got a Disney princess duvet, cover, pillow and pillow case for £19.99 from TK Maxx too -always worth a nosey.

x

ps - just had a really nostalgic memory of an orangey flowery 'holly hobby' (?) duvet set. Got to love the 70s!

BHS have some lovely sets (£20-£25) - "patchwork style" and one matches my DDs White Company nightgown (pink roses) exactly. Are polycotton though but ok. for example

toddlerama · 15/08/2010 20:11

Cookie I had that duvet set! But I was born in '81... think my mum must have got it at a car boot! Grin

I am pretty sure if I dug around in my mum and dad's airing cupboard it is still there!
