Can anyone here copy a tape cassette onto a CD

I know that this is possible with the right software/hardware/cables or whatever.

However I don't have them or know what I would need to do so.

DD is longing for My Naughty Little Sister audi book, for the car. But it is only available on tape cassette, not CD. DH's car only has a CD player.

So, a plea really. Does anyone have the ability to cope a cassette onto CD?

If so, is there anyone willing to copy the cassette (if I go out and buy it) onto CD for me?

you could always get a cheap cassette player that works on batteries .. maybe even one of the child type so she can play it herself

sorry don't know about cassette to cd

Hulababy · 26/08/2005 19:48

She already has a child's portable cassette player which is okay but not ideal. Volume seems very quiet, especially against engine noise. And she struggles to keep the headphones on.

I will keep looking though anyway, thanks.

Thanks Macca - will check out link this weekend - when more sober

can't do it on normal CD/cassette combo, as CD is not CD writer.

You just need 'audio in' leads. Tape deck should have audio out connection. Upload to media player and then burn a cd from there.

Will ask DH tomorrow if we still have leads. If so, you can send tape to me and I'll do it for you.

Hulababy · 28/08/2005 10:57

SaintGeorge - that would be fab if you can do it Just have to go and buy DD the tapes - she'd be so grateful

DH is going to dig around this afternoon for the leads. Will let you know later if we can do it or not.

Hulababy · 28/08/2005 16:06

Thanks.

Arrrggghhhhh. DH can't find the leads!

So sorry. He did recommend that you go to a shop like Richer Sounds or Maplins (even Dixons might help) and just explain that you want to connect a tape deck to a computer. They should know exactly which leads you need and they shouldn't be too expensive.

Sorry again.

No worries.

My brother has just remembered to tell me that he can do this! Infact it was only about ahalf an hour ago. So, he can do it for me. Thanks anyway.
