DD can't keep anything down and about 2 hours ago threw up ALL over the settee. The cushions aren't removable. It stinks!

Anything ideas are welcome (it just has to be something I have in the house as dd has gone to bed)

Poor little thing

I think Bicarb of Soda is supposed to work - maybe just dilute a bit & test it on a 'hard to see' area first.

Hope someone more knowledgable answers soon though & fingers crossed your dd gets better soon.

baby wipes

seems to be great for everything else

WigWamBam · 23/08/2005 20:15

You could try sprinkling bicarbonate of soda all over the affected areas, leaving it overnight if you can, then hoovering it up in the morning. It won't harm the leather that way.

MascaraOHara · 23/08/2005 20:18

I think I have some Bicarb but might have chucked it. Do you think sprinkling it on will help?

I've done baby wipes already

Ok I've sprinkled Bicarb of Soda (dry) into all the creases. Fingers Crossed!

have you got any clear shoe polish, that might do it?

MascaraOHara · 23/08/2005 20:41

yes I've got some, this might be a stupid question but what should I do with it?

think I'd just try a bit on a duster, shouldnt harm the leather and take the smell away...hopefully.

Heathcliffscathy · 23/08/2005 20:57

best tip ever for vom smell that i got on mn (can't remember who but i salute you) is to leave a bowl of water with vinegar in it (bowl of water with good sploosh of vinegar) in the room near the offending piece of furniture overnight or for as long as you can....it is totally miraculous in terms of smell removal. ds puked all over car, left said bowl overnight in car, next day NO smell....

MascaraOHara · 23/08/2005 20:58

Have water, bowl and viniger in house.. will def. do that tonight!!!!

Littlestarsweeper · 23/08/2005 21:24

Yep vinegar, hairdressers use it to clean hairspray off chairs and mirrors.

MascaraOHara · 24/08/2005 17:05
