DD wanting to play out on school nights.

My DD who is 8 is very sociable I had her at 20 I'm now 28 and focused on getting a career so haven't had anymore children
. She wants to play out every single day she's friends with the neighbours kids who live directly behind us. She either plays in our garden or theirs it's become a battle to get her in or do activities as a family. She is an only child so I understand she gets lonely but she goes to breakfast club after school activities and other activities. I'm having to plan my entire schedule around DD playing with her friends and calling her in.
I'm having serious guilt about her being an only child.

My son who is 10 is exactly the same but I love it. I love to see him playing with all his friends, running around and having fun. We stay in a safe village and all the kids play out all the time. I don't feel a shred of guilt about DS being an only child as all of his friends, who all have siblings, all only want to play out all afternoon and evening. In fact my DS's friend, who has three sisters, came to the door for him at 3.15pm today. My DS hadn't even changed out of his school uniform!
I feel they missed out on so much during the first lockdown when they couldn't see other children (we are in Scotland so under 12s didn't have to socially distance after a few months in the first lockdown) so I am so happy to see him having fun with other kids.
I just potter round the house or read my kindle or do an exercise class at home when he's playing so it's fab. I think come winter time they won't be playing out as much so I figure we can have family time then.

Wpw if she has breakfast club and afterscholl and activities thats a lot. Id be really pleased her freetime as is is playing :)
