Do you ever feel like you dont do enough to entertain him? I play with him loads but its like I feel guilty for doing abit of housework and letting him play alone for a while? Hes 3 and a bit. I'm a single mum he sees his dad most evenings...

It's good for them to play independently, OP. My DD isn't an only child, as of three weeks ago, and gets ignored much of the day because I've got a newborn going through a clingy stage! You'll feel guilty whatever happens.

Agreed, I think as a mother you naturally feel guilty whatever you’re situation! I have 3 and feel bad that I can’t spend enough time with them individually, especially the eldest who wants to play games/read books that aren’t suitable for the little ones. And independent play is so good for him!

I definitely have dad guilt, especially during the first lockdown as my dd got so lonely. She's wanted a little sister (or brother) for a while now but we tried to keep her occupied with play groups and activities before covid hit.
