I've just posted about ideas to help with this but I just wanted to see if anyone felt this way really

I've been feeling guilty for ages about not providing ds with a sibling. We tried and failed. This lockdown situation has accentuated my feelings massively as obviously now he sees no other children and just dh and I

We try and play with him but it's not the same as other children

Does anyone else feel like this?

I don’t feel guilty at all for having a single child. Having a sibling is no guarantee of a life long friend and under the lockdown, two would probably drive you crazy with all the bickering so instead of focusing on the negatives concentrate in the fact that your kid is getting more attention from his parents than most kids can when having more siblings around.

Thanks @rainbow, I needed to read that today :)

Yes this is exactly how I feel. The fact is we do stuff every day, school work/ art/ baking/ games, etc...but all it's doing is filling in the time. Theres no real enjoyment in it, even when it's fun stuff. It's forced fun rather than the silly/playful fun that ds has with his friends.
Having a garden would help but we don't have one unfortunately.

@TheMotherofAllDilemmas.. that's a really good point you make. Atm with this lock-down i'm at maximum capacity for what i can deal with and any more would tip me over the edge!!
