It's harder with more than one

I am reaching the point whereby almost every parent we know has one or more children and I am getting to the end of my tether with “it’s so much harder with two” types comments from everyone like they are a martyr and my life is a walk in the park.

I imagine it is probably harder to schedule more than one BUT (in the most part) they chose to have more than one so I struggle to sympathise with them.

At some point I will slip and bite someone’s head off I feel. How do you get past these comments and do people EVER stop saying it to you?

It is all dependant on your circumstances - one child can be v hard because they need entertaining all the time sometime if it’s not through choice the parent can also feel guilty for having only one child - 2 or more can be hard because it’s more expense and running around though if they get on they can entertain each other and give parents a rest - equally not all siblings get on in fact many argue non stop- what I don’t like is the value judgements “oh its so much easier for you to have one child or two children” because having one child if you have no money and no wider family support can be as hard as having 3 kids if you have money and loads of help from family - having 3 that ague or are competitive can be horrendous -

you get what you get and just need to look for the positives
