Just wondered - seemed like a very harmless thread to me last time I saw it, and now it's been deleted!

Sorry, should say, it was in this topic (one child families) - not just randomly asking here . . .

I hope it wasn't something I said! I am an only child and said it was great but that perhaps mum needs to focus on herself a bit more now Confused

Well I was hoping it wasn't something I said either Grin I posted a rather flippant comment about reading threads about siblings fighting . . . hoping the OP didn't take it the wrong way

ummmm, just came back oh here to see if anyone had replied to my thread & it has gone...

nothing to do with me!!

was it because I added a link to my blog? Is that not allowed?

I don't know what anyone said in response to my thread, so I can't really reply to your opinions........

Hello again OP, I don't think blog links are a problem - there's an entire bloggers network - unless there's some obscure rule I don't know about them only being in the right section.

I've got an older only (dd is 12, just going into yr 8 at secondary) - just really saying that it is great them getting older, don't stress too much - I've found whatever age dd is, is just the perfect age for a child!

And older dc are great fun to talk to, do things with etc, I have done so many things I would never have imagined even trying before having dd (still can't stand up on a surfboard, though Grin )

I've just had an email, it is because I posted a link to my blog...

"Congratulations on your blog, it's great, but some Mumsnetters have flagged up your post asking for Mumsnetters to comment on your blog post as this contravenes our Talk Guidelines, and so we've had to remove it. But please don't see this mail as a telling off, we completely get that you were not aware of our rules."

Apparently you can only post links to blogs if you are a member of Mumsnet bloggers network...which I am. So I will reply & let them know.

I only posted a link because I thought the blog post was entirely relevant to the thread. I wasn't trying to spam people or sell anything.

Oh well.
