Hi

Has anyone any experience of the Head Start Nurseries in Barnet and Potters Bar?

They are opening a new one in Enfield which I am considering for my Dd when I go back to work later this year and wondered what they are like

Thanks in advance

Hi Jcee
I looked at both as i we live in Potters Bar
and i wasn't that impressed with it overall.
I have seen the new one in Enfield in passing when visiting my mother in-law, and thought it looks really odd, as the whole look of it looks like a garden centre with wooden huts that i presume would be where the kids would be. Also security their would be an issue for me as it is very open near a busy road.
My DD goes to an excellent nursery in Enfield called Goldstar. Like you i really did my homework when choosing a nursery and found Goldstar to be the very best around.I cant speak highly enough of them.

Hi I use HeadStart Barnet and have been very happy with it. Caring staff with a mixed age range for carers and generally low turnover. Cook retired this year so menu has gone through some changes since then but home-cooked style foods. Large garden that is great for summer and they seem to do a wide range of activities. My DD has gone part-time since she was 6 months. I looked at other nurseries in Barnet before choosing head start and their style and atmosphere best suited mine.

Thanks both - that's useful

Candy1 - I know what you mean about it looking like a garden centre especially as every other building on that road is one! They are having an open day soon so I'll have a look round.

Thanks for the Goldstar recommendation - it's just round the corner from me so I'll check it out
