AFFORDABLE NURSERIES IN MANCHESTER

Hi Mums,

I hope someone can advise...

we are looking at moving our daughter from Kids Unlimited in Didsbury - its a fine nursery, clean, safe and stimulating but is £880 a month - which simply we cant afford anymore.

We therefore need to move her another nursery. We live in Chorlton and have looked into Oaklands Day Nursery - does anyone have any experience of it or heard anything about it?

We don't want to compromise our daughter's care at nursery BUT equally, we dont want to compromise her lifestyle outside of nursery... we want to be able to take her out at weekends, to the park, to eureka etc and with paying so much, there's not much left.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

I was slightly put off oaklands as I was told children sleep in same room as those who are awake and playing (one year olds)

For my child I didnt think they would manage to sleep very well in that environment. Otherwise I liked it though. I preferred it to the one on Edge Lane in Stretford, who's name escapes me (just about 1/2 mile down the Road)

Hi Ibisuni

I was wondering how you were getting on. My daughter lives in Chorlton and will soon be looking for a good local nursery for her twin daughters. As it is going to be a costly business I was wondering if you went ahead with Oklands Day Nursery and how you got on
