Hi,

juts a quick question; my DS turned 3 on 19th March, so is eligible I think from 1st April.

HOW does one actually get the govt help with fees?! I've been on the DirectGov site and can't figure it out. Will his nursery do it autimatically, or do I need to fill in a form?

Many thanks for any help proferred!

If he's in a nursery already they should already have given you the form to sign so they can claim the money from the government. I would have a word with them.

you'll need to fill in a form, but it's an easy one!

ask for it at nursery they need to fill in some bits of it and send it off

Thank you!

I will instruct DH to obtain a form when he takes DS on Friday. Bit puzzled why they haven't already given us one, though..

The headcount form will need to be filled in at the nursery at the beginning of the next term, i.e the beginning of April. The nursery will fill in the form and you will just have to sign it. Where I live, Lancs, all the children's details go on one form and the parents just sign. The form is then sent off to the County Council. The nursery will work out how much is to be deducted from your nursery fees.
