Does anyone know what these qualifications are?

I was just looking at a day nursery and whilst I understand SENCO/NNEB/CHild protection what on earth are:

  • Opening the box
  • Look listen and think
  • High scope implementation
  • Henry
  • Handbags and gladrage

They all sound awesome and would love to have them on my cv but don't have a clue - anyone .....

High scope is encouraging children to be more independant and whilst it can be a good thing the nursery i worked at that implemented it didn't really have a massive impact. If you check out the training guide at your workplace it may have the courses your looking for if not speak to sure start they could help you out

Your nursery's information folder should list all staff quals and training and explain to parents what they are.
Also, you should read all policies too.

Sounds like a load of trendy day courses. Not heard of any of them before.

I'm guessing here (can you tell?)

but 'Henry' is a qualification in using a cute vacuum cleaner and 'handbags and gladrags' is dressing up
