I'm going back to work at the John Radcliffe hospital in march and wondered if anyone can recommend a nursery (I live in a rural area 10 miles south of Oxford near dorchester on thames) I am about to visit the JR nursery today
Many thanks!

Julia Durbin on Roosevelt Drive near the Churchill site is apparently very very good

my little boy goes to the co-operative nursery (same company as the jr one) in blackbird leys. they've just opened a brand new purpose built building with huge garden and got outstanding in all areas in their jul 09 ofsted report. he's been going 4 full days a week since he was 3 months and he loves it. staff are great. facilities are great.

Thanks I will have a look (although Blackbird Leys I have been told is not a great area). I've also just looked at the science park one (full) and the new one in littlemore run by the same people which seemed great although currently only has one child in it!!

There's also one on the business park (handy if you are coming up the Garsington road) and one of the same chain on Jack Straw's Lane - both are used extensively by OU staff and if you are working for the university they offer some staggeringly good tax breaks.
There's also one in Headington Quarry which has a good rep iirc.

Nothing useful to say, but you live near my parents. Always makes me to see people in their area
