Nursery in Putney

I'm due in February and am just starting to research nurseries in Putney as I've heard there might be waiting lists.

I was wondering if anyone has any experiences of any nursery in Putney - good or bad ones? Which one would you / wouldn't you recommend and why?

Many thanks!

There definitely are waiting lists. DD's nursery has had (wait for it...) two couples ask to go on the waiting list who weren't even pregnant yet.

CAT me via "contact poster" or email at [email protected] and I'll gladly tell you about DD's nursery and what I know about other local nurseries, but I'd prefer not to mention which nursery she attends on a public board.

Yes- there are definately waiting lists and now Riverside is moving to Wandsworth I don't think it will get any easier. DD is at Poppets but not full time - v happy with it. There is another thread going on it with comments on other nurseries you may find useful. (Also look at the forum on putneysw15.com)

Thanks a lot for your messages. That's helpful. Wow, I thought I was early by just starting to think about it now. Can't imagine before you're even pregnant!!

Hi,

i have recently moved to the Putney area and have looked at various different nurseries all with a very long wait list. I was told Puddle-ducks are currently able to take children straight away.

Puddle-ducks is a new nursery opened since March. I had heard some mixed reviews but had a tour round the nursery recently and thought it was fantastic. They have a new manager who has over 30 years experience and there are some great new changes going on there. The staff seem really caring and are very friendly. I have registered for a place for my oldest child and am hoping to start in November. The manager told me they currently have availability but are filling up fast, i would definitely reccomend a look around Puddle-ducks.

I hope this helps
